Man arrested following Keady assault

A 27 year old man has been arrested following a report of a serious assault in the Kinelowen Street area of Keady in the early hours of today, Sunday 12th February.

Shortly after 5.15am it was reported that a 25 year old man sustained serious head injuries when a large object was thrown through the front windscreen of a silver Citroen Xsara in which he was a passenger. He has been taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries. His condition is described as critical.

Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident to contact Newy CID on 0845 600 8000. Police would also like to speak to the male driver of the Citroen Xsara who witnessed the incident.
