Moss growing along the footpaths of Toragh Park will result in someone getting a serious injury according to Sinn Féin councillor Brendan Curran. Councillor Curran has been inundated with people from the area voicing concerns that the roadway is actually safer to walk on than the footpaths in the area. “This moss is thick on the pavements right through Toragh Park and many residents have called me over the past weeks to enquire about getting it removed. With wet weather the moss becomes very slippery and dangerous to walk on. Indeed I am surprised that no one has been seriously injured due to this moss.” said Curran. He added, “I have brought this up at council meetings and I am assured the relevant authorities will be dealing with this as soon as possible.”
