Supporting the Southern Area Hospice Services this Christmas has just got easier as you can now donate by sending a text message from your mobile. Thanks to the ‘Just Text Giving’ campaign, charities can sign up to text donations with their own personal text code. The initiative, set up with the help of Vodafone, is free for charities to use and any donations given will not incur any network charges. Gift Aid can also be added to donations. To send a donation to the Southern Area Hospice Services, you can text SAHS01 and either £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10 to 70070. Fundraising Manager for the Hospice, Majella Gollogly said; “This is a wonderful way for us to raise money as its simple, spontaneous and cost effective. The majority of people have a mobile phone these days so we hope that making a donation is now as convenient as possible for people and we hope that this can be a successful campaign.”
