Tierny Road is a quiet part of County Down

Police in Banbridge are appealing for information following the theft of six cattle from a yard on Tierny Road, Newry.

The cattle were discovered missing at 11.45am on Saturday 3rd December. The cows received a dosage of anti-parasite medication Alverin Plus on 29th November, which means that they are not allowed into the food chain for 66 days.

This is a remote area and police are appealing to anyone who observed a large vehicle, capable of carrying six cattle, around the area prior to and on 3rd December, to contact them on 0845 600 8000. If you prefer to provide information without giving your details you can contact the independent crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0845 600 8000.
