Caoimhe makes ‘IT’ to the Top at Queen’s

A Crossmaglen graduate has been awarded one of the top prizes for computing at a recent prize giving ceremony held in Queen’s University Belfast. Caoimhe Murphy received the Deloitte Excellence Award for the best individual performance in the final year project for the Business Information Technology degree. Caoimhe, who is a past pupil of St Paul’s High School in Bessbrook, has recently secured a job as an IT Consultant with PwC.

A delighted Caoimhe told the Newry Times, “I’m absolutely delighted all my hard work has paid off. It was a final year project in university and I was recognised for overall excellence, best contribution and highest mark by the board of examiners. I received £400 from Deloitte.” On what the future holds she added, “I start working for PricewaterhouseCoopers last September as an IT Consultant and I am really excited about the future.”
